The initial suggested registration term is 2 years. The minimum term for transfers and renewals is always 1 year. ICANN requires all registrars to receive payment before domain registration is completed; all fees are non-refundable.

• Renewal notices can be delivered by both email and US Postal Service (snail) mail.

• WHOIS Spam Protection at no additional charge - To reduce the amount of unsolicited email that you receive, you can hide your email address in the WHOIS database. A "proxy address" (@emailaddressprotection.com) is displayed in the WHOIS database, and DoctorGeek automatically forwards email from the proxy address to your email address (via a proxy website). Your email address remains hidden. Because of current Internet regulations, this option is not available to .org domains at this time.

• Email Filters - For your convenience, the email forwarding service uses a blacklist-based email filter to reduce the amount of unsolicited and unwanted email. These filters can help to reduce up to 80% of unwanted email. These filters only affect the email forwarding service. If your mail is being handled by another server, you will need to contact your email provider regarding any filtering options they may provide.

• Privacy - DoctorGeek takes extraordinary steps to protect the privacy of your personal information, because we understand that the protection of this data is very important to you. ICANN requires us to share some of the information that you provide with registry administrators, escrow agents, auditors, WHOIS service providers, other registrars, through the public WHOIS database, and to ICANN itself. In addition, we are required to provide bulk access to WHOIS data for marketing purposes, which you can opt-out of easily.

• Private Domain Registration is available for any com, net, org, biz and info domain for an additional $7.79/year.
